On the ES44AC, they are adding a new cab variation - low front number boards. These are good for CP and CSX and we'll be offering 3 numbers of each.

They are also adding a new model, the ES44DC. The DC versions has a different body, sill and walkway than the AC's, and will use all three cab variants.

It's official, four months of FV announcements and nothing I can use. When will they get with it?  8)

I wish those CSX units are DC because they have the wrong dynamic brakes. Guess Kato is going to be my CSX ES44AC hook-up and they are $10 cheaper. Oh well it looks looks like my first FVM locos will have to wait for the CSX ES40DC to be made.

Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

If you count headlight placement as important, then no. NS has high mounted headlight front and rear. The CP and BNSF units are correct, though.

This is what i thought. Why oh why do the manufacturers seem to always do NS wrong?

Or in the case of Kato and the C44-9W (C40-9W) they did it wrong a decade ago (was it 1997?) and never since. And this a quintessential NS loco.

I would think the manufactures ask themselves "why of why does NS equipment always have to be just a little different than anyone else?"  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Does the CP ES44AC come with the correct hot plate? Does it come with bi-lingual labeling? Does the high voltage wiring carry a ULC listing?

Seriously, nice that they will have the correct number boards... and the steerable trucks are also a nice touch, since the easy thing to do would be do #8760-8899 with roller blades. FVM rocks... now where is the Marine Industries Ltd bulkhead flat?

Politically? Their table manners are proper? How far can we take this?

I do think the same. Not stopped me owning 8 Kato Dash 9s that i know are wrong for NS and only 1 Mark4 design cab to convert to the correct high headlight.
