Jump to 4:02 to see a smoke show that tops that of an ALCo... The leader is an ex Conrail GP40 followed by a Helm SD40-2 that I don't recall the heritage of...
But this is nuts!

if you can't conduct yourself, conduct freight

Wonder what it was that fell off of the GP40 at 4:18? Maybe that had something to do with it. :-X Looks like a turbo fire..

The Helm SD40-2 was a CNW at one point, the place where the nose bell was is this there but it's barely visible for 2 seconds (4:23-4:24) in the video.
Vincent

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

I'd agree with turbo fire.

As for what fell off, my guess would be a switch list or something off the conductor's clipboard.

I agree with Brian.  Reviewing the video a few times, it looks to me as a piece of paper on the walkway was blown free and flew off the side of the locomotive, coincidentally as the turbo grenaded.
