There used to be a surface walkway as well as a subway (underground walkway), the former for RR employees with baggage carts and the latter for passengers.  Now, eastbound Amtrak trains cut over through the interlocking to the westbound track to discharge passengers at the main platform.

I will install a walkway at some point.

That station looks exceptionally good after being planted on your layout.  It looked a little strange by itself (architecturally; not a negative comment on the excellent model making by DKS) , but for some reason it goes really well with what you already have.

Anyone have any more views of it? That's the only one I've found so far.

One epic win at a time, man...

Here's wat I've got so far:

I noticed a glob of paving material on the rail in that one photo.  Better go clean it off!

The Dave and David show - shaming SPF's since 2013. Nicely done guys. Anyone who thinks you can't do accurate prototype stuff on an HCD in N scale needs to get thier heads examined forthwith.

+1.  Dave V. has mastered the art of: (1) fitting all of the pieces onto his layout without it becoming a spaghetti bowl and (2) making the layout look much larger than it really is.  Kudos.

Here's a Clerihew about Ed. K.

But mention his law
and you've pulled your last straw!

Alternate version:
Ed Kapucinski
Every night, he plants a new tree.
He asks excitedly "Did you say Ménage à Trois?"
No, I said "Ed's Law."

I have to say that station looks like it has always been there. Watching DKS document the construction process and seeing the building grow out of a pile of styrene and pieces, and now to see it in it's rightful place is huge.

Kudos to you guys. It is inspiring.

Paul Dolkos came today to photograph the layout for Great Model Railroads 2014.

Right as we started by Digitrax DB150 command station crapped the bed and Loconet died.  No amount of troubleshooting, unplugging, resetting, or anything has yet restored the two loconet jacks on the DB150.  Because the primary Loconet seems to be dead, no throttles work.  Therefore all trains had to be moved by hand and some were photographed without headlights...
