You're not the only one who found inspiration for modeling in a Fogg painting. Here's mine:

(EDIT: Bear in mind that many of Fogg's paintings were outright fantasies. UP would have never trusted a TOFC/COFC hotshot to Alcos on the point, 'specially C855s! :D )

If it were my layout, I'd go with Huntingdon; all Enola's engine servicing facilities will add is somewhere to park diesels, so it's basically a display shelf in the middle of the layout, and you've also basically done all the modeling, so it's a simple transplant. With Huntingdon, you'll be able to build an entire town from scratch, as well as relocate your JC Blair factory to Huntingdon (if I remember this thread correctly anyways). Then you can take the space that was once occupied by JC Blair on the original JD and add in more scenic running or make your new scene inspired by the painting take in the entire inside of the U. Also, keep in mind with the new staging yard you won't really need a classification area, so there's really no reason to have Enola, unless that's just what you want to build.

Yep, with the possibility of a staging shelf I'd nix the Enola section.  Modeling Huntingdon would provide for more visual interest IMO and would add more operationally than a small classification yard.

Agreed..The Enola part could be done in the Staging area.

Not sure I follow...  This is primarily a discussion about parts of the layout I've not built yet.

I'm not modeling these localities how they appear today, but rather how they appeared in 1956, and fortunately the Pennsylvania Railroad Facilities in Color books cover the location and era in unbelievable detail.

Huntingdon looks similar to how it did minus two of the four tracks on the main.

Do Huntingdon. I loved that plan a bunch of pages ago that included it. Fun casual ops potential, classic PRR town.

actually what I meant was what does the existing track in that area of your layout look like, since you were saying in looking at my track plans evolving you wondered if you should bother, It sounded like you were worried about some spaghetti sauce getting on your layout.  :scared:

Not sure.  I just updated WordPress this morning to try to fix it...  It worked for a while but apparently it's down again.
