Next Project: Freight Truck Styles in N

After putting the article off for a few months, I finally started work on a pictorial covering freight trucks available in N scale. This is turning out to be a bigger project then expected as I have to get samples from Athearn, Atlas, Micro-Trains and others. I have received samples from Athearn, and Bowser and hoping to check Micro Trains off my list next. Here is the list of MTL freight truck styles I am aware of:

Allied, Andrews, Arch Bar, Barber Roller Bearing, 70T Roller Bearing (two spring), Bettendorf, Bettendorf Swing Motion (roller bearing caboose trucks), Commonwealth 6-Wheel Freight, Buckeye, BX Express (REA refer trucks), Coil Elliptic, Dalmon, National B-1, Barber Coleman Arch Bar Nn3, Diamond Arch Bar Nn3.

In addition, They have produced a roller bearing swing motion truck with generator, and I believe they have produced a friction bearing caboose truck as well. Am I missing anything?

I thought you meant freight trucks, as in a follow up to your piece on Fire Trucks...

I'll be looking forward to seeing this.  You'll be covering typical applications and eras for each, right?

Robb, are you offering your help?

For what it's worth, you're welcome to browse my collection of proto photos for reference material.  I don't expect you'll find much, but you never know.  If there's something you can use, let me know and I'll arrange the necessary paperwork to release it to your use and get you a high-res file if one's available.
