That's pure fun !!!!!! - More people will get one of the Jet RDC's "just because"...... cool !
Forgot to add - the M-497 is DCC-equipped with sound, including the jet engine roar and LEDs at the rear of the jet engines simulating ignited rocket fuel that react based on the throttle position.

Done ! - The Puddington valley has to have one for Sunday afternoon excursions.......
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

Might have to think hard about the RDC Jet. they tested one on the Big 4 between Cincinnati and Indy.

Since they are custom made, I wonder if you could contact Kato if you wanted an undec.  Maybe you could even save a bit off the $295 price tag. :o

I wonder how much for an M&St.L RCD-4.  I haven';t wanted to hack into two shells at Kato prices.

So where is the breakfast report, or were they all food poisoned or sworn to secrecy?

Home from Portland now after a 12 hour drive (including a short stop in Dunsmuir to see if anything was going on).

The breakfast was for the most part a rehash of what we already know with two exceptions.

Kato "alluded" to a BNSF SD70ACe (shocking, I know)

More interesting though was Athearn. John said they would be announcing a new tool for their rolling their rolling stock line in the next few months. The ONLY detail he gave was that it would be big. I was sitting with Matt from FVM and we both agreed it has to be an 89' flat car to go with all the trailers they are releasing. Makes sense if you think about it. If that is the case I can only hope they will release them as stand-alones in multi-packs as many of us already have a number of trailers without a flat car to put them on.

Oh, one more thing....N Scale Kits was also at the breakfast and said that he will be producing some RTR product in 2010. That is good news.

WE are probably going to be awash in 89' flats in the next year and a half or so. Saw on the A Board that Waltheres was going tohave 64 seat coach and 1 or 2 new structures this year. Nice to see them waking up.

Did N scale kits say anything about the f-39 flat they were working on???

I really want these cars but from what I have gathered and been told by Peter at N scale kits they are having problems trying to get the mold detail correct.
I hope they can figure it out  :P.

Kato "eluded" to a BNSF SD70ACe (shocking, I know)

elude: to avoid adroitly.  Shocking indeed.

Sorry Chuck, I shouldn't bite the hand that feeds me.  ;)
