BTW, I have heard that Kato is announcing something else at this show - besides the El Capitan train.
So I am to suspend reality and believe this will be a ball hit out of the park on the first hit??
Yeah, I know the underdog thing - but in a sense Kato is the underdog here, since everyone roots against them.
QuoteSo I am to suspend reality and believe this will be a ball hit out of the park on the first hit?? if you believe Kato is going to do a GEVO, you just might be suspending reality.QuoteYeah, I know the underdog thing - but in a sense Kato is the underdog here, since everyone roots against them. You might want to consider electorshock treatments. Lou. Nobody is rooting against Kato. Based on how they are operating in this environemnt 2 newly tooled projects this year is about what could be expected for this market. Matt is probably not thinking about just one version and unless he appears to drop the ball, Kato is going to move on to other projects of which there are plenty to do.
I would guess that if the SD70ACE came in June, the El Capitan in December, then the GEVO could follow in June, 2010. Wanna bet the Kato GEVO is in my hands before the FVM? ...
Sorry if I don't buy this Kool-aid.... My record on loco purchases is 95% positive with Kato; 50% with Atlas and 0% with IM. It took Kato and Atlas years to get to where they are now. The Tunnel Motor was going to be the end all be all of all models of all time. Ha!FVM has done a couple of boxcars - with lots of questionable graphics and a major ride height issue. Nice - and worth the money, but not earth shattering - and really not as nice as the IM boxcars which at least have the doors done correctly. Definitely not as nice as ExactRail, or Atlas or Deluxe Innovations or Kato or MicroTrains though. So I am to suspend reality and believe this will be a ball hit out of the park on the first hit?? Come on!
