I agree with Asarge, PWRS would be bad news for this release. Of the 30 or so guys in our Ntrak club, I would bet 25 of them don't even know what PWRS is. It's amazing how many of these guys don't follow forums or news on the net. If it didn't show up in a hobbyshop, they wouldn't know about it.

PWRS could never get the loco to the masses like many of the other names mentioned.

Cost would be the dealbreaker with PWRS. I'd image an MSRP of $150-$200 and they sell only through their own operation... meaning the MSRP is the street cost.

Wake me when Atlas announces the GP40-2W in N  ;D

Then that would make it NARC/PWRS, wouldn't it?

Man I hope not.  I probably won't buy any GEVO's, but that would for sure count me out...at least until Kato does them.  We all know they will at some point.

You guys have it backwards! Sandro says it's NOT PWRS....

And the guy from PWRS on Trainboard said this two days ago!

They would get it to the masses alright....they would ship half a dozen to everybody on their mailing list whether they ordered one or not.

I had a quite different experience with club members.  When I joined an Ntrak club, (~8 years ago) there were 15-20 members and they ALL knew who PWRS was and advised me to never send them my address.   :-X

They would have to form a new subsidiary, like "North American Locomotive Corporation" and get a new website first, though.

PWRS no. NARS....well has it been specifically excluded? Those clowns are good at that and again, don;t trust anybody associated with them.

With any luck, the posting 'bashing it' will be as long as this one.

It's almost like a mystery novel......instead of who dunnit, it's who issit.

To steal a line from the upcoming Bruno movie: "Look at... us, we are so like the Sex and the City girls".

I know who it is . . . and for the right price, paid up front in unmarked $20 bills, I'll tell you . . .   ;D
