BLMA!

No just guessing....

The fact is that the ad in NSR does not say - just "Blueprint for Excellence".

Of course that info came from someone who SAW the ad at Feather River Trains, so this could be just some sort of delusional plot by Chulvis and company....

You could look in the advertising index to see who paid for the add.
Which ever side of the track I am on is the right side.

The ad index just says "Mystery Ad" haha! Honest guys, there is no other info in the ad.

I don't play those games, Steve.

I took a quick picture of the ad with my cell phone as I left the shop today. Here it is. Sorry for the quality.

I saw that today also. (and tried looking at the ad index, too! doh!)

I will say, it DOESN'T look like something Kato would do, although I suppose if you're trying to tease that's exactly what you would be going for....not your typical m.o.

From the overhead profile, the coupler looks like an Accumate, although (a) I could be wrong, (b) it could be that way to throw us off, and (c) that doesn't really help a whole lot.  It would eliminate Kato, MTL, and Athearn, and probably Intermountain.

Atlas supposedly hinted at a another six-axle GE loco, and they might be the only ones with the cahonas to take the risk that Kato isn't ready to fire up production.

My sleeper pick would be BLMA, since Craig is still young enough to "have no fear" and given Robb's association--and his frequent references to his drawings--it would fit.

I don't have a dog in the hunt...they're too new for me unless I bump my era about 5 years. (always a possibility I suppose)  But regardless it will be a nice model to have around.

The ad index says "Ad of Mystery    59" and it's the first entry under A in the index.  Just to confirm/correct Chuck's comment.

From a 1973's guy; what the hell is a GEVO ?
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!
