Also, if Traincat posted the Mainline Modeler drawings that MTL used to tool the car, then notice that the corner posts are too large on the MTL model.  It looks like someone misinterpreted the crash posts around the end door as being extra width to the corner posts.  You can see this in the side by side photos while comparing the location of the curved side grab irons.

While TrainCat cannot confirm this drawing, I can. It is straight out of the September 1986 issue of Mainline Modeler page 25. This same drawing is found in a book titled "Southern Pacific Freight Cars Volume 2: Cabooses" by Anthony Thompson/Signature Press page 361. The book makes reference to the drawing being from Mainline Modeler.

So much for top secrecy...
