Public Service Coordinated Transport of New Jersey once blanketed that state with electric railway lines. This included a mile or so of subway into its downtown Newark terminal and headquarters. This line never ceased operations and was operated for a half century with PCC cars. Here's some shots taken January 26, 1957:
While it was called a "subway" much of the line is on private right of way, and here PCC 2 crosses a fill.
