In addition to the 1950's era GE steeplecabs, the Niagara Junction still had one prewar (1938) traditional Baldwin-Westinghouse heavy traction freight motor, No. 9. Photos taken Sept. 18, 1964.

Shown here on the ready track by the General Offices:

The enginehouse resembles a traditional carbarn:

Looks like No. 9 is getting ready to go to work:

Next week, Pittsburgh Railways, but I haven't scanned them yet.

SirTainly and Envirodude, I am seeing the dreaded "X" instead of your photos. SirTainly, yours may be too large, and Envirodude, I don't see a width "/sNNN/" on your Picasa pix. Wrong link perhaps?

strange I can see mine, will try to check on another PC - it could be that when you looked my home server was down but is now back up ? While I'm away the server at home will auto reboot itself, and the router at some point each day/night(I forget what time I set it for on UK time) in case it suffers power dip problems (common in my area). Can you see the images now?

If the shots are in Picasa , I found that sometimes I have the same problem if I use the properties from the enlarged shot . It works better for me if I use the properties from the thumbnail , and after pasting it I increase the S number 640 , 720 , or 800 .

Better late than never.

Just returned from Timonium and stopped at St Denis (photos will be posted Thursday).  I did a quick runby the WM facility at Annapolis Junction and finally managed to get some photos of their SW units (didn't realized they had two).

You can just see their jeep on the last one.

You must have still had the camera set to Macro from the layout shots at Timonium...  Either that or I need new glasses! 8)

Lee:

Yeah, they came out terrible.  Don't know what happened there.  Shot them on the fly and I didn't adjust something.  Now I have to go back and try again.

Here's the last shot (of the juice train) before those and it looks OK.
