Some more shots of PCC's in Brooklyn over a half century ago...

NYCTA PCC 1018 approaches Church St. on the McDonald Ave. line on March 3, 1956, a cold but sunny day.

NYCTA PCC 1009 headed South toward Coney Island on McDonald Ave. on October 28, 1956.

Further North on McDonald, PCC 1009 passes by Greenwood Cemetary, near the carbarns. Photographed on October 28, 1956.

Next week, we'll still be in Brooklyn more than five decades ago.

A few more shots on the Northeast Corridor, early 70's.  Shot around Bowie, MD:

Looks like there might be a little trackside "commerce" going on over by that Satellite...

So, you can confirm the "commerce," Bob.   ;D  That's okay, it was the '70s.

I've got nothin' new, so I'll take you on a brief tour of the Maryland and Delaware...

1202 at Massey.  I was a guest aboard her this summer while I was "between engagements"

Gotta love a line with not one but three RS-3m's in 2008.  These two are based at Massey, Maryland in Kent County.

1203 is based out of Federalsburg in Caroline County.

That's one of my favorites.

...although this is a close second.

Brian, our own Rock GP40, was my gracious tour guide and host.  Take a bow, Brian!

Nice pix John. 8)

Gotta love the perspective on the tracks under the bridge. It's a different world in parts of the west. ;D

a CSX worktrain heading east at the Turkeyfoot signal

CSX D774 heads up the branch toward Berkley Springs

Winchester Western heads toward the Potomac River crossing on former PRR tracks - notice the rollercoaster ROW in the background

from a winter trip to the National Capitol Trolley Museum in 2005

this one's for Lee - can you tell me why?

'Cuz Lee's hoping that the covered hopper is a-rocking and a-rolling just enough to sideswipe the rocks in that cut, thereby rubbing that poor kitty off of both sides of that Chessie car.

That's up there by Jack's Mountain isn't it?  The second one would be at the interchange track at Blue Ridge Summit/Highfield right?
