Some more New York City Transit Authority PCC's in Brooklyn, NY.

The Traction Terminal on Coney Island could not be used by busses because inbound Coney Island Ave. cars and outbound McDonald Ave. cars used this private right of way to access or leave it. NYCTA PCC 1052 is inbound from Coney Island Ave, on July 20, 1955.

NYCTA PCC 1009 approaches the back of the Traction Terminal on the McDonald Ave. line on October 28, 1956, three days before trolley service ended.

NYCTA PCC 1005 clatters through the specialwork at McDonald Ave. and Church St., where the last two streetcar lines crossed, on March 3, 1956.

Next week, still more from the last days of Brooklyn's trolleys.

Yes was Odenton.  My railfan buddies and I spent a lot of time between DC and Bowie.  That was before all the fences were put up and they still ran freight.

How long will it be before they show us how to add DCC to a tree?

Some more shots from back in the summertime, starting with a nice little 68Q chase:

And a short while later, a 13N chase:

And a nice 19G a few days later:

Yes was Odenton.

i'm positive it's not Odenton - the bridge is incorrect, there was no crossover under the bridge at Odenton, and there is a curve just prior to the bridge.  i'm sticking with Bowie.

this photo supports my thinking that it's not Odenton - notice the concrete bridge supports - this was taken in 1975.

Steve- your probably right, it's Bowie.  Been alot of years since I took those and memory has a tendency to fade.

I have to agree .. the only reason it looked like it might have been was the turnout leading off to the right .. that still exists at odenton .. and I remember they did a grade project there ..

I go back to the days when they still had a grade crossing just East of Bowie.  Wish I had taken some photos there.

Glenndale Road and Hillmeade Road are cool locations - the railroad is a rollercoaster in this area.
