What color Woodland Scenics Ground Foam would be a match for the shrubbery in this photo?

The Dark green is really dark, probably too dark. If you branch out to Scenic Express, their Hazy Green might be a bit closer. Don't underestimate the power of spray paint to tint the trees... I've been having some good results lately with some Rustoleum camoflage colors, they've got a great camo green color that works great to add shadows to the foliage of a medium green tree. Also works well to tone down and blend in some of the more exotic static grass and clump colors, making them more earthy and closer to late summer color scheme. Spray cans are fine, the foam will just soak up the paint... just make sure it's a dead flat paint. For the second photo, WS light green is probably too light, but the closest. Paint is your friend.

How would one go about making their own foam?
