While waiting for a Riverfront street car in New Orleans this week, a KCS transfer cut to CSXT came by lead by a new SD70. The red striping and lettering on the ends are very, very reflective, like ground glass. Gonna be hard to duplicate in N scale.

Wow , and by the lack of shadows around stuff it was under a cloud . I wonder if those stickers have any radium in their makeup as they appear as if is lit up without the reflection of a light source . For me , all I need is to see a train and thats enough warning . I doubt even this will help the brain dead that keep risking fate .

Highly doubtful, as it's no longer permitted to be used in such applications; radium isn't that bright, anyway, and IIRC, it's greenish. I think the sunlight, even though it's diffuse, is coming in at just the right angle. Look at the parked cars on the left--their reflectors are all fired up (and those aren't brakelights).
