As good as the whole review was to read. You summed it up best when you said you have 3 AZLs and one MT that is good for nothing other than the chassis.

I still want to get me a AZL GP.

Excellent review David! Very informative and well presented. I have 10 MTL GP9's all NP, and 6 AZL GP7's now. The AZL traction tires grip like mad dogs! Did you know the loco itself can go up a 20% grade? Yup!

Did you know the loco itself can go up a 20% grade?

Forward or reverse? It pulls better in reverse...

I know they are coreless. Actually MT uses a Maxon, AZL uses the Faulhaber (as indicated in the article). 8)
