http://www.telusplanet.net/public/crowley/ashphalt_roads.htmI tried this for another road and grade crossing I am doing and it looks great.
How long will it be before they show us how to add DCC to a tree?
Why should the road have a joint - I need one

While most asphalt roads lack expansion joints, they are often cut or dug up for water, sewer, and gas lines, so there is a "joint" where the pipe was laid. They are also often patched, as they tend to develop potholes. There were reputedly "Volkswagen swallowers" on Cicero Ave. in Chicago. I know I hit one once that was a bone jarring experience in a VW Golf.
