Caught some nice sun finally in town. Also testing out some new YouTube quality settings. The YouTube page has the "hi def" version.  The first unit must of had its bell's clapper replaced at one point as it is faster than the cadence that is on other CR 38-2's. Sounds more like the clapper got replaced with one from  a 1st generation bell.

You did a nice job on the layout...what did you use for the waterfall?

You gotta turn down the sound of the water.  Drowns (no pun intended) out the loco sounds.

Really, I though they were pretty well balanced as you can hear the brakes, bell and wheels pretty well on the entire train. The engines are almost at idle as they are on a downhill coast and they do not use DB on this line. I could have set up one of my remote mics to bring them in better but I did not have time. I'll give it a shot next time to see if it comes out better.
