BOWSER Model rolling stock

I was thinking of doing some bidding on a few rolling stock cars that are made by Bowser but I don't know anything about this company and if the models are any good.  Anyone know anything about these models?

It's good quality stuff. Their HO stuff is good too. It's maybe not the best detailed stuff available, but good.

I would say about the same as Red Caboose or Huberts/LBF. Good detail but not top tier. No etched parts. They are slow to come out with new tooling which is unfortunate. I belive their stuff is all made in the USA.

A step above Trainman, not quite Intermountain.
Good pricing, good for fleet building.  Not always accurate on non-PRR stuff.  The WM-4-bay represents one car that was rostered as an experiment, but until Athearn/MDC re-does their 70T 3-bay (which is also close but no cigar) it's the only mid-capacity hopper available with factory paint.

For Pennsy cabins and hoppers in N scale, Bowser's your only hope.  The trouble with Bowser cars, I've found, is that they tend to track poorly without replacement wheelsets.  The older H21a hoppers tended to have truck sideframes that were a tad wide.

I'm running new metal wheelsets on many of my Bowsers and they work much better.

I can't speak to Bowser's non-PRR stuff.

I have 4 Bowser cabin cars and a few of the hoppers. They`re OK, changed out trucks and couplers in all of them, and yes, they are made in Pennsylvania...

The Bowser N "line" consists of internally developed stuff (the PRR hoppers and cabin cars) and the former Delaware Valley line of freight cars. The Delaware Valley stuff is comparable to older trainman tooling.

Same is true of their Z scale stuff, which has been commissioned by other businesses, most notably Full Throttle.

Not really, there is a pre drilled hole on the cabooses and hopper cars to accept the mounting screw for MT couplers. Took me 20 minutes or so...

Right next to English's Model Railroad Shop. It's been a couple of years since I have been there, but boy was it ever a treat when Dad would take me as a kid...

I don't do HO, or Pennsy, but I would love to have one of EACH of their loco kits.
