BANTRAK's  25th anniversary car set will be available Saturday and Sunday.

Rides kind of high ... needs to be lowered and weathered :) .. does it match the protoype? :)

Sure hope the trucks on the blue one are in blue plastic and the green one are in green, that'd make it ultra collectable  ::)

so how often do you guys get together and is anyone from the forum invited.  I'm not sure I can make it this time but I think it would be nice to get out and get to know everyone.  I can put a face with Tom but no more then just a head.

Everyone on the forum is invited to the Railwire outings.  We had one at Horseshoe Curve a few years ago and every now and again at Timonium.  My dream is for all of us to meet up at Tehachapi some day, with trip costs paid for by the ads ;D

Where is that "Tom Mann Head in a Jar" photo?   ;D

I'm guessing you are talking about Timonium Maryland.(?) Is this a central location for most people on this forum or an event going on there that would be why you choose Timonium.

I don't know why but you picture make me think of Max Headroom.  ::)  I'm not sure if you recall that movie/ computer animation from the 80's but Tom is the new headroom.  ;D

Timonium Maryland is the site of the Great Scale Model Train Show, which takes place quarterly (Feb, Apr, Jun, Oct).  It's not exactly centrally located for the "Maryland N-Scale Mafia", but since most of us will wind up at the show at one point or another it's a convenient meeting point.

Here we are at the October show.

From Right: Brian Carhart (RockGP40, Bob Bufkin, Tom Mann, Ed Kapuscinski, and Yours Truly. That's my little Julie Bear peeking around the corner.

There were a few others there, including John, Zox, Asciibaron, as well as some Atlas Forum regulars, Max Magliaro and Victor Miranda.  There may have been others... the police reports haven't been unsealed yet...

I guess I now have more reason to go to the train show.  I was thinking of going because I hear that show is much better then the one that was just here in VA. There was a show in Chantilly VA from Greenburg and it wasn't that great (I thought) and many friends told me there is one in MD that's much better in FEB.  The only problems I see are being there by 11 am and on Sunday.  I was thinking of going on Saturday.

It's a real pain to those of use who exhibit; trying to get things torn down, packed and making it home in time for the game is always a challenge.

Tim

I think we tear down early :) .. You know me and football .. even trains take a back seat ..

You'll have to ask the coordinator.
Oh, never mind.

Okay, I have a questions from only someone as green as me.  Do you get better deal on Saturday or Sunday?  I figure all the really good stuff is gone by Sunday.  Althought I'm not planning on getting anything (ha - that's what I tell the wife)

Generally the GREAT deals are gone before I wake up and get over there on Saturday. But the deals are good all day. Your instincts serve you well though, since anything in limited quantities is usually gone on Saturday.
