Man, I was ready to sell off my coalveyors.  May have to keep that train now, never really liked it with the C44-9's.

edit:

My brain still thinks of engines priced around $80-90.  These will likely be $120+ (since the MP15 is $114), even at discount maybe that money will be better spent.

But at least these will be worth that price, as opposed to the Botchmann pieces of crap that were listed at $135.

Personally, I am PSYCHED that Atlas is finally doing these.

well, we haven't seen the trucks run yet...
...or maybe they did use the old Kato tooling for the trucks ?

(wondering if the BW cab will fit the C shell ?)   ;)

Robb what are the visible spots on a phase 1 or phase 2 ?

MOW Kitbasher was something I actually suggested. It's a Ford LNT tractor in railroad scheme you take apart and combine with a MOW truck rear-end.

Of course I also suggested the C40-8 to Atlas for the past 18 years, so sometimes you get what you want and other times you wait!

A few of us knew this was coming but were bared from talking about it. I was scolded for mentioning a 6 axle GE unit was coming. I belive parts like front handrails, cabs, horns, exhaust stacks, and radiator covers will be swapable with the 4 axle counterparts.

No, just the cab.. and chassis...

Remember Kel Cruise did those MOW bodies for the LNT - we need someone to do something like that again or build your own!

Oh noooo, more CR 80s goodness!  So tempting....  Gotta run home and throw on some bell bottoms and platform shoes to stay in a 1970s frame of mind.

I just want to go on record as saying that I think was REALLY in poor taste on Walther's side. It's a shame they're the 800lb gorilla so I bet Atlas can't do a hell of a lot to them.

I feel bad for the boys in Hillside having their embargo blown, and losing the ability to own the release info.

Would someone going to Springfield buy C-Money a beer for me.
