New Haven Question

I'm thinking of adding a couple New Haven passenger cars to my fleet.  Question is they had a Standard, Alpert, McGinnis and who knows what else paint scheme, so what is appropriate for the mid 50's to run?  They seemed to change paint quite often.  No wonder they went under - buying paint.

Found most New Englanders to be quite friendly.  Boston, however, is a different story.

IIRC New Haven passenger cars were green or stainless steel until about 1955, and the logo used was the script herald with the full name spelled out "New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad Co.". Then McGinnis took over and went to the orange, black and white scheme with the "N over H" logo. New Haven was not rolling in dough, so it took a while for cars to be repainted.

Have you seen these NH passenger car side/kits from Eastern Seaboard Models Corporation?
