Lee and I caught this SD40-2 being tied down along with a Dash 9 in Delmar, MD, today, while on the way to the Delmarva Model Railroad Club's Open House. The engineer promised us a tour of the cab next time. I am sure Lee willl hold him to it!

Note the weathering on the locomotive truck, yet the dazzlingly white sneakers on the dorky railfan... ;D

Indeed it doesn't look like it is from 1917.  Colour photos existed back then, I've even seen colour video footage from WWI.

Notice the contraction "doesn't."  I was under the impression that it is a shortened form of "does not."
