Pitchforks!  Torches!!!   We march on Hillside tonight!!!

I think 3rdrail pointed out that stuff announced now goes on sale during their slow vacation period. But then again, this is sort of strange.

A big, big announcement for Springfield???

I heard from a credible industry source that they're getting out of N scale . . . starting this month.

Don't you see?!  That's all part of their plan.  Not only do they want to discontinue N scale, but the bastards want to rub our faces in it!!!

Is it possible that you got the HO e-mail flash?  They must still be working on how to spell "SD-40-2" for the N scale e-mail... ;D

From a reliable source...

They were set to announce their N GP40-2L(W) and modern N LPG tankcars, however both require changes to the tooling. Having been caught short for N stuff in January, they've decided to just keep quiet and ignore us.

The real big news will be in February, when they unveil a new Trainman Rap, feat. D-Rail (the Trainmaster)... sure to be contraversial as it will use both the "N" word and the "C" word (you know, as in N scale C40-8).

This foray into Bachmann only C40 territory will not go unpunished... watch for B-Mann later in 2008 to announce their "Craptastic" line of freightcars to compete head to head with Trainman. Aimed at the low pricepoint market, Craptastic will include Rapido couplers and details so chunky they'll eat like a meal.

I think Bmann has coined them the "Silver Series" which is a vague reference to the color of the hair of the people that worked on the original tooling.

Not me! I do not recall Atlas ever having a blowout sale on anything. I also do not recall Atlas ever holding back on an announcement for any train show, especially a regional one. A pre-announcement peek at a test shot, maybe, but not an announcement with road names, prices, and delivery date..

No N Scale announcements for Atlas this month. Has something to do with the Chinese New Year and how that affects releases dates.

But hopefully, February will be great.
