Atlas U23Bs - sweet!

Here's some positive mojo -- maybe to offset the recent SD45-2 posts.  I received my 3 LV U23Bs last night, and I must say I am very happy with them.  I don't have decoders in them yet, but they really look sharp!

Yeah, but everything looks good in Conrail blue. (guess what road I model? :) )

I take that back. Nothing can make a wide nose "safety cab" look good....

I've had my 2 U 23 B 's in Western Pathetic (WP) green & orange since last year sometime. I guess the latest run is featuring road names alot of the folks here at the Wire are interested in.                            Yes they are Veddy Nice Models, and they certainly look good in Conrail Blue. PC Black Naw, but Blue yes definately.                                                                                                                                    Nate Goodman (Nato). Way out West somewhere west of Cheyenne. Salt Lake, Utah.

Micro scale has a Reading and Northern set that can be used with this U Boat. Interesting that RBMN had a number of CR units... on the same set, they have SW-8 decals...

Hmmmmm....

Rich, I wouldn't be surprised at ALL if we saw the R&N units from Atlas at some time in the not so distant future. It's a PRIME Atlas paint scheme.

Reading and Northern 90 ton hoppers would make a nice addition to the Trainman line, if they haven't already...

Micro Brains made them a while ago, would be nice if Atlas would do them.
For some reason I see them up here fairly often. ???

I got both the MT hoppers for a "reasonable" price...some etailers had these at 20 and 25 bucks... ::)

I don't know if R&N only has a few of this scheme running, but I don't see many on the rails. Most of what I see are all black hopps with a red and white circular logo.

Lee,

Send that suggestion to Cory.  Let me know when you've sent it and I'll pile on.   ;D

You can never have too many 90t hoppers!   ;)
