where does one find an electric fly-swat??

Dupes has one....I stuck my tung on it while it was turned on once... kinda hurt.

no, it was your finger, and you almost fell down the stairs.  THAT was funny!

Another method I saw demonstrated on an Allen Keller tape was taking a small piece of pink styrofoam and rubbing it on your arm.  Then, you would quickly move it over the grass causing the charge to move to the grass.  Who needs a grass machine!

I read the word "tung" and thought that might be another word for the nether regions I wasn't up to speed on these days -- YIKES!

I've had good luck working with static grass. So far the Gras Master has worked really well. Here are a few pics. Some old and a few new as I'm currently covering a five foot module in static grass:

I've used a length of 1-1/2"  PVC pipe rubbed with a piece of fake fur or one of those fake lambs wool car washing mitts.  PVC can generate some serious static electricity.  I tried the foam block (that's from the GMR video on Lance Mindheim's Monon layout).  It works fine, but if you have a lot of grass to do, you wear all the hair off your forearm from rubbing the block on it!
