Sounds like a product at Sharper Image, assuming it also has a built-in alarm clock.

That's pretty cool!  I saw one of the electric swatters not too long ago at an outdoor gear store...can't remember which.  I think it was around $14 or so.

I was tempted to buy one, remembering the fun we had in high school sitting around drinking beer and watching those big hanging bug zappers "deep fry" dragonflies the size of a small terradactyls.  Hours of fun!!!   :D

I've seen electric fly swatters at Harbor Freight.  I don't think they were more than 5 or 6 bucks.

Too complicated...take a kids balloon, blow it up, tie the ends, rub it on the carpet and then hold it over the grass and then:

s t a t i c

No Sh** it really works! - I used on some WS static grass and it stood at attention (without ED medication).

Can't you just shuffle your feet on the carpet and touch the layout?

Pretty cool.

http://www.promopeddler.com/Detail/55990/FSWSM <- 73 cents

The concept of the electric flyswatter reminds me of the "over-engineered" thread... some things work just fine and making a new information age electrified version is just pointless.

Simple flyswatter for indoors, big bug zapper frying thing for outside where you can watch and listen to the light & sound show. My grandfather hung one up at the corner of the campsite once and it was the main attraction for all the kids in the campground as they passed by in the evening. :)

I bought one of those bug zappers once.  My neighbor liked it so I gave it to him.  He modified it with a blood scent so it would attract mosquitoes.  Now its his electricity that does the zapping but what is more important is that all the bugs now are attracted to his property.  Ssshhhh  He hasn't caught on yet.

I don't know if we could deal with ED without medication. He writes a good column, but ...
