Love those 80MACs! We caught a pair of them here in Harrisburg, PA last week. One Black and one BIG BLUE! If you live out in PJ, you probably know about the Conrail caboose that was in Sands Point? That's the one my historical society saved last year. (www.thecrhs.org) Watch out for us CRHS guys, we're a handful. There's also a lot on here. GonzoCRfan, Ed K, me, Conrail 6055, Ian McMillan (when he sends us money..lol) and some others...

Oops, caught this one a few days late ... I wish I lived in a part of the northeast where I could see more railroad action than just the LIRR. I'd especially love to see one of the MACs up close. I think I'll have to do a railfanning roadtrip this summer.

I must confess, I wasn't aware of the Conrail caboose in Sands Point. I'll have to check it out one day. Glad to see all the Conrail fans here, and thanks for the welcome!

Well, Steve I was just introducing myself, and hadn't been aware of the prior chat. I caught the ";D ;D ;D", and wasn't angry or anything, but thought you were claiming I should have more deciduous trees. There actually are a few. I just didn't get the connection. No harm. Hello, folks. 

My name is Chris.  I got started in HO, but jumped to N in 1990 when my friend Collin showed me an amazing Con-Cor steam engine and some back issues of MR featuring N layouts (Kalmbach has since denied they ever recognized that scale). 

Since then I discovered girls, went to college, enlisted, and now am engaged to a wonderful woman who almost tolerates my stack of hobbies and has agreed to let me turn the guest bedroom into the Nn3 logging layout of my dreams.

Now I just have to get this $&@! shay to run...

I'm new to The Railwire but have been active in other forums, especially the Atlas forum.  I am attempting to model a piece of the C&O's Piedmont Subdivision (Virginia) in 1970 (although my era is being somewhat relaxed (early 1970s) so that Chessie System equipment is just now beginning to show up on my layout).  However, if Atlas would come out with an N scale Magor caboose, then I could return to modeling 1970.  My current layout is inspired by the Carolina Central and is built on a 36" x 84" hollow core door.  Here is a sample of my modeling:

Hey guys,

FYI: Although I live and work in Cecil County now, my mother is originally from Tunis Mills, MD (outside Easton) and my father is from Church Hill, MD, so the Eastern Shore is in my heritage!  As for operating on the WM, just tell me where and when!  I'll leave the C&O rolling stock at home, since I understand that's it's unwanted on WM rails. ;D
