Howdy, Doug here.  I don't have a cool name like G-Unit or anything, but I'm hopeful.  I split time between here, Trainboard (Doug A.), and Atlas. (Denver Road Doug)  The "Denver Road" part denotes my interest in "The Denver Road", aka the Fort Worth & Denver Railway which was essentially the Q/BN line in Texas.

Been back in the hobby and in n-scale for about 8 years now.  I'm on my third "layout" in that span but calling the first two layouts is pretty thin at best.  My current layout is small (38"x78") but I'm mostly interested in rolling stock anyway (and mainly why I like this forum with the weathering and detailing aspects) and I just wanted a layout to have a place to run my collection a little bit.  I'm probably one of the few n-scalers modeling a commuter line, (the Trinity Railway Express)  although fortunately it also has quite a bit of freight traffic as well.

Well I used to model C&NW. Kind of done with that. Thinking Bay Area SP in the Mid 90's, what I actually grew up. 

I work in Portland, Oregon as a Bike Messenger. I am a Senior at Portland State studying Social Science.

Oh, and I drink beer. Lots of it.

My name is Mike I'm from Kent Ohio and I work for a structural steel company doing AutoCad and
programming of burning torches. I'm a huge railroad buff and enjoy scratchbuilding of some
railroad structures I find unique. I model the late 70's era Chessie System with some Conrail and
its predesessors my modules that I'm building have a mixture of Chessie and Conrail structures.
My biggest scratchbuilding project is of an abandoned 200' long camel back pratt truss built by
the NYC in 1909 it crossed the Conrail double track Pittsburgh cleveland line. I'll be posting
pics of it this weekend along with some pics of my first module. I also enjoy playing guitar and
music.

My name is Bryan Borovec...I live in Olympia, WA.  I am a wholesaler in the Douglas Fir timber industry.  I have a wife of 8 years and two young daughters.  I was raised in Sacramento, CA and moved to the Pacific NW in 1985.  I have been involved with trains both on the real deal scale (Steam Locomotives) or modeling in N Scale for most of my life.
I am a member of the Northern Pacific Railroad Historical Association and model the NP and Milwaukee Road in Southwest Washington during the 1960's.
I have been trying to find the time to complete the interior of my stickbuilt 24'x28' shop, where my empire will go, for almost 5 years. (2 and 6 year old girls!)    The shop has 10' ceilings and will have a heat pump installed to maintain some sense of climate control.

The NPRHA convention is in Tacoma, WA in July of 2008.  I am the modeling chairperson for the convention and would love to see anyone interested in the Northern Pacific try and attend.  Washington state during the Summers is pretty awesome.

I joined because I felt the group may benefit from some West Coast perspective ;D and the A Board was becoming a little too predictable at times.

"wazzou" is a friendly nickname for the Washington State University Cougars.

I'm Norm.

I grew up in eastern Kentucky watching L&N/Seaboard and Chessie haul coal.  Now I'm in the central part of the state watching NS, CSX, and Corman haul basically covered hoppers, intermodals, and autoracks.  I miss the coal although growing up I got sick and tired of seeing unit trains. I had a 4X8 HO layout (not much more than track on plywood) before I went to college, then stayed out of the hobby for about 12 years after graduating.  Now I've entered an alternate universe where GE is top dog and EMD is not even owned by GM anymore.  I'm getting back into model railroading, this time going N scale, 99% likely on a door in my office.  I'll be modeling modern stuff, probably Corman with whatever industries will keep things varied and interesting.  I really don't know crap about the nuts and bolts of the hobby but this time I want to actually model, not just throw up a loop and a siding to run trains.  Scenery, building structures, laying track, DCC, it's all basically brand new to me, so I'll take any good advice I can get.  I'm not afraid to admit my ignorance when it comes to that stuff.

I also post some over at trainboard, but for some reason Atlas won't answer my emails about joining the board, and it seems pretty dull over there anyway, so here I am.  Don't all clap at once.
