Welcome aboard Glen and Jeff!

Feel free to pull up a chair and pour a cup of coffee - we tend to let the pot run all day.  Railfaiing is to be found in the Thursday Protophotos threads - Lenny generally gets us out of the gate with something cool.  Weekly progress is documented in the Weekend Update Thread that starts Friday evening.  Its in the N scale thread but we let the HO and Z guys sneak in - some of them are doing cool stuff.

Looking forward to seeing your A game . . .

Philip

Hello,

We are Joris and Maurice. We made a small layout in Cebtral European 1930s style.
You can find some pictures of our layout in the following site: http://klapplitalbahn.wordpress.com/

Since we couldn't find a lot of N-scale road vehicles of our liking, we started designing some vehicles and scenery material that can be 3D printed. As our collection became bigger, we created a website: http://railnscale.com/

Kind regards,
Maurice & Joris

Hello all...

Very impressed by the modeling here! I used to lurk here many moons ago, good to see the spirit
is still the same.
Getting back into model railroading after a leave of absence due to the usual distractions.
Slowly getting my sea legs back, hopefully Ill have some misadventures to share...

Hello N-Scalers, and people of those other scales:

My name is Don.  This is my first post (if it actually works!).  I registered this morning.  I am struggling with getting around the website but assume I will move into the light with a little practice.

I have been N-scaling for about 19 yrs now...yes, I am over 17!  I guess my largest effort has been with N-trak...a buddy and I built ten N-trak modules, most of which are still in use, though my garage became too small to accommodate any more!  We have moved into a rented space and now operate 24 modules.  I am basically a scenicing guy with limited skills in other areas.

I am enjoying the wealth of ideas found in the multitude of posts on Railwire and hope to use some of them on my current N guage layout under construction.

Cheers

Don

I'm Joan. I'm the half of KenRay Models that's neither Ken nor Ray. Ken will be around, I'm sure, but you get me for now. We operate KenRay Models (that was probably pretty apparent) and specialize in steel mill, detail and WW2 to Desert Storm era military models.

I'm a veteran, Ken's an IT guy, we have two sons. I am an admitted non-model railroader, but I build trains daily. Ken's an N scale guy, and likes P&LE, NYC and Erie roads. I like steam engines, I think they have more character in their appearance than diesels, and bridges of almost any kind.

Hi, Thought I'd introduce myself although I've been making a few posts already. I live in a small town on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains that was at one time served by no less than 4 separate railroads-Southern, NC&StL, Knoxville & Augusta, and Little River RRs- with numerous small industries, tunnels, trestles, and bridges within a 1mile radius. Even had an engine house and small turntable circa 1900.  I model this area as well as some mainline Knoxville to Ashville areas. A little Penny has slipped in so my GG1's and big steam have somewhere to go. Thank God this area was noted for quarrying pink marble as most of my scenery is still that color. Mostly run steamers and a few FT, E8, and PA diesels. GG1's and an Arnold crocodile have also crept in when no one was looking. This board has proved to be a real treasure house of information and assistance when I'm in bang the head against the wall mode as happens too frequently. Thanks everyone!
Modeling Southern and N&W in the southeast.

Hi, I finally made it here. I am an old-timer having started with Treble-O-Lectric in the early sixties and graduated to Atlas in 1967 and the rest since then.

I recognize many names here from the old Atlas forum.

Welcome Doug!  Do you still have any of those rubber-band-drive locos?  :)

Heck yeah. Six U.P. F7s, one D5000 "Derby Sulzer" (British), one D5900 "Baby Deltic" (British), and one Baldwin 0-8-0 and they all run!

NICE!  Are you the guy who has a website with all that early N scale info, or am I thinking of someone else?
