Hi,
My name is Scott Stutzman and I'm another Oregon modeler. I'm working on modeling Espee's line over the Cascades in central Oregon SP mid 80's to 96 and Modern UP.
I do some detailing and painting of locos and such,But that's kinda on hold right now while I work on the layout.

Hi, My name is Chris Baughman. I live up in NH. I am working on a 3x6 chainsaw layout to build some skills and have some fun while I plan a larger Northern New England themed layout. Right now I am leaning toward a design that includes St. Johnsbury VT and environs although the MEC low road is a serious contender too.
I have a MRR Blog I update from time to time with my efforts:

I look forward to visiting here.. I saw there were a few people I know. Should be fun.
Regards,
Chris

Hi all, my name is Phil Duba from NJ right outside Philadelphia. I'm currently in the planning stages of a layout modeling Conrail's Harrisburg line from Harrisburg through Lebanon to include both the Hershey complex and Millard's quarry. I have a blog site I just started: which has a first level plan (which has already been altered based on some feedback). Looking forward to visiting here in the future, Ed speaks highly of the board,
Phil

Greetings,
Keith Schmidt from Milwaukee, WI home of Walthers, Kalmbach and Beer and Brats. I'm 45 yrs old and have been modeling N scale for about 20 yrs. I have a 12' x 12' layout in the basement DCC controlled based on the midwest. Hoping to have it open for the 2010 NMRA convention here in Milwaukee. Also a member of the Milwaukee "N" Southeastern Model Railroad Club in Milwaukee. Were the only N scale club in Milwaukee with a permanent layout. I grew up with the CNW running near my house and I still like the green and yellow. I enjoy going out trackside and taking pictures the 1:1 scale.

Hello:
New to Railwire...but not model trains. First layout was 41 years ago. (Did I just say that out loud). We model the Reading from Allentown to Harrisburg (1964 to 1976) and with apologies to Phil (above me by a couple of posts) that is Reading not CONrail trackage. Due to a calendar malfunction and the fact that confined spaces under the layout lead to head injuries, my calendar never passes March 31, 1976. We work in N Scale and I also own 1:1 scale locomotives as well. (Try finding those in a local hobby shop). Have spent time in freight and passenger service, now run my own company offering business coaching and related services to companies from start up to mid range. Looking forward to learning more, making friends and helping share my gray matter (knowledge) where possible.

Groovy... Then you probably won't mind if my calendar gets stuck in late 1972 before any cats were allowed onto the WM's property.
Sounds like you're in the Mid Atlantic region... perhaps another local a$$hat to harass in person?

Hey Lee and company:
If your calendar gets stuck in 1972 that is fine by me. Yes I am in the mid atlantic (but I am not a good swimmer). I am outside of Philadelphia with the former Reading main 30 feet from my back fence. Tired of all the PC, er, I mean NS units I see but every once in a while a gem shows up from the past. Last week CP sent D&H lightining stripe GP38-2 which was nice to see in "original" paint.
I grew up with RDG, PRR and B&O literally a few blocks from the house. I remember the Cat invasion clearly. And while the Cat's sale of RDG stock doomed the northeast, I did meet my wife because of her love of all things Chessie. My family had 85 years of service on the Reading and I met a lot good people from connecting roads of WM and B&O as well.
As for the 1:1s they are all ALCOs. We have the only a-b-a set of F1 and F2 models on the planet. Dropping a new 251 into one them is just a tad more challenging than working on my n scale engines. (Only benefit of 1:1 is at least I can see all the parts). The F1s are all ex SP&S. The FA2s are ex L&N and FB2 is exBCOL, exxCN.
My son (the eyes and our shop foreman) and I are attempting our version of the Reading crossline from Allentown to Rutherford (Guess where WM power is going to show up regularly). The game plan is point to point without a train being in the same scene twice. We'll let you know how that goes... Oh and when the time comes Lee we'll have about 150 engines that will need DCC in them.

Lee:
I am sure we'll see many of those (price increases) as I intend to convert engines the way I bought them a few at a time. The last time I got a price on conversion for all of them, a SWAT team had to talk my wallet down off the roof. So we'll take it nice and slow and hopefully everything will work out. Looking forward to working with you. Will you be at Bedford in August? Love to see your WM and take a throttle with some RDG/WM power.

Regrettably no... I'm using my "get out of jail free" card to go the Rail B Q in Harrisburg this weekend. Maybe I'll see you there?
