I thought I'd help kick this off with some photos of HOn3 rolling stock I've built.


This is a Precision Scale plastic kit of a D&RGW 30' Reefer I just finished.




This is a D&RGW 6200 series flatcar I scratch built.




This is a RailLine plastic kit of a D&RGW 3000 series boxcar.




This is Rio Grande Models multi-media (wood, white metal, brass, plastic) kit of a D&RGW flanger.




This is a Grandt Line Plastic kit of a D&RGW 800 series drop bottom gondola.

Chris,

I've thought about it.  I'm going to hold off for now.  I don't want to get too distracted from N scale.  I do have a Precision Scale D&RGW Long caboose kit on order though.  It'll make an interesting addition to the static rolling stock display.

I'm with Mike -- go ahead and buy the Mudhen . . . you know you want to . . .

Models look great -- the only recommendation I would make would be to replace the RailLine running board with a scratchbuilt. The RailLine parts are really too thick --

Yeah I may just have to buy a K-27. 

The RailLine boxcar was the first HOn3 kit I built.  With 20/20 hindsight I'd also say the grabs were too thick.  I'm currently building a PSC HOn3 UTLX narrow framed tank car kit.  I'm using Sergent Engineering couplers on it.  Man, those things are sweet!  After a lot of feedback from the HOn3 Yahoo Group on how well they work, I decided to give them a try.  They definitely look better.
