I would also appreciate some comments from convention-goers about: number of attendees, size of Ntrak set-up, hotel location (any shops or restaurants within walking distance) and any other general observations.  I'm not at this one because the more I looked at it, the worse it got.  Farmington?  Please note that I already have reservations for June 2008.  Thanks to the KSons it's actually IN  Louisville.

Thanks,
Mark
Wow, I did not hear of any N-Trak going to at the Love Fest this year. I thought it was a straight ole typical NSC event.

Can somebody
grab the boxcar in a blender video for the opening night presentation.  Have several medical teams standing by...

Link, in case someone missed this hilarity earlier...

Take the car they give out at the banquet and use it in the weathering clinic. Drives the NSC guys wild.....

Yep, Witnessed it for myself back at the Tulsa convention. They also had clinics on what makes a car collectable. They preached that removing the car from the cradle and NOT placing the car back in with the brack wheel to the correct side would disqualify the car from "Mint" status.

That was the point I blew-up and sounded off. Got myself thrown off the Yahoo N-Scale group for blasting the NSC grading criteria and scale afterwards. George had to force a whole new grade scale and remove the word "Mint" from future auctions.

wow, no comment. ;D  There are not enough people "into" little trains and there is not enough history with them to make tons of money.

I'm not even sure how NSC can exist anymore.  George Irwin's monthly write ups and Ebay's auctions practically cover their purpose.

Yes, I know there are people out there who take all of this very seriously. Yes, they have every right to do so, and I should not be critical of them. But, good grief, I had no idea... this is just too funny. I hear the Twilight Zone music playing in the background.

Oh yea, dead serious. I met some people at the Chantilly Convention in 2004 that actually looked down at you because you were a "runner'. But I look at it this way guys, if they want to buy equipment stimulate the growth of N scale,  I say let them spend until their heart`s content...

The truth, in this case, is far stranger than fiction ... :-X
