It's not prototypically accurate, because the car length is off, the roof has too many things on it, and the underframe is of course pretty bogus, but beggars can't be choosers!  ;D

The dullcote is wet, so the Lowey colors look funny and you can't see the white pinstripe in this photo, or the car numbers, but when I setup in the sun and take a few pics the colors, and pinstripe should show up better.

Robert,

I would send your photos to someone at Hallmark.  Who knows, you may be sitting on the design board and could dictate design parameters for next year.

I used Nn3 wheel sets (slightly larger dia. than Z scale) and laser cut acrylic inserts made by Robert.

This is what the truck inserts look like. A little reaming get them spinning free.


This is a brass plate I used as a gauge to lower the trucks a bit. Everything sticking out the hole gets filed off:

Chris, how thick is that brass?
And I'm still not entirely sure about coupler mounting.

Plate is probably .030-.040" I forget now.

For couplers I kept the stock loop and hook ones, but I did shorten the loops so they coupled closer. No use adding MTs, I won't be switching PAX cars.
