"End-of-Month" Speculation

Well, the new month begins this Sunday, so MTL at least will announce next month's new models this Friday if they follow precedent. We already know that the last State Car will be one of MTL's offerings.

Since MTL, Atlas, IMRC and now possibly even Kato are doing monthly announcements, anyone care to speculate what will be forthcoming for July? The NMRA Convention is toward the end of the month. Will any manufacturers hold big announcements for that? Considering the short shrift N scale gets there, I hope not.

It has been quite a while since anyone came out with a "gotta have that" for me. How about you?

Going through the websites of favorite e-tailers, I see Kato has just announced a "Super Chief" train set of one "F" unit and three cars, with an add-on dome car extra. Don't think they're aiming for the same market as they did with the CZ set, do you?  ;D ;D

That's a brilliant idea though.

If I were working at a hobby shop, I'd push those like none other.

Now that I think about it, I'd hurt myself over some undec NW2s.

Lensed in 1984 in my old stomping grounds, 4 blocks from my parents place @ Frankford Jct Philly.

Well here is something interesting. Just got this in an email from Micro-Trains:

1. Effective August 2007: Low Profile Wheels will no longer be included with monthly released cars.
2. Effective Wednesday, June 27th: Low Profile Wheel bulk pack prices have been substantially decreased to the following
prices:
- LPW 12-axle packs: #003 12 010…$3.20 MSRP
- LPW 48-axle packs: #003 12 011…$9.95 MSRP
- LPW 100-axle packs: #003 12 014…$16.85 MSRP
*Price changes also apply to brown wheel sets and HPW sets.

Please hurry and buy my existing inventory before the price goes down!!! ;D :D ;)

MicroTrains shall do all in its power to distance itself from the operating model railroaders. We don't want their business. Furthermore, we shall announce the "Fish Species of the Month" series.

MT = Might be Trains..... I like the idea that they will finally admit they are a toy/novelty maker and not an n scale manufacturer.... will drive the collectors nuts.... works for me.
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!
