Kato N hoods
are most noticeably fat when kitbashing with Atlas hood parts.  From a normal operational standpiont they are positively svelt compared to that Bachmann Centennial set I still need to do some work on, someday.

My Athearn SD45 and B36-7 are noticeably fat even from outer space...

Kato has nothing on width compared to the old-school Athearn widebodies...

One advantage of not being that old is I can't remember those! ;)

Actually come to think of it..why do we care how fat HO was ?

I have one of those too, but seeing how much they go for on Ebay these days, I'm thinking I should sell it an buy brass! :)

Think Steve W. watched the last one go for a silly amount, if he or someone else remembers what it went for, care to remind me of the final figure ?
