Wow! Is the whole thing that way or just the end?
Looks like the same painter that did those Athearn gondolas!

Looks pretty good to me, Steve. Oh, what's that you say? It's not the old Con-Cor C636? Thats an Atlas C630? Sorry, my mistake ;)

I hear Atlas is pretty darn good at exchanges... unless your me trying to get some help on an SD50 with a broken motor (as in little, itty bitty pieces) out of the box  >:(

I once made the mistake of painting a VO1000 before testing it.  However, Atlas eschanged just the mechanism with one that runs well and left me my custom painted shell.  Therefore I am sure they'll do the swap.

also the nose part is that way (to match the orange color on the cab) the nose and the end were painted over black, the cab was painted orange on the undecorated, gray surface. so, to match the color of the cab they painted much more color on the black parts and the result is this "dipped in a color pot" result...   >:( >:(

2nd & 3rd back for sure. Heck, I'd probably send all three back.

So Steve, can you tell us what the solution was. Can you show us
the replacement when you get it and do a comparison.
