Lordy, lordy, have y'all seen the flame war that's erupted on the Atlas forum over Craig's ad?  ???  At least Craig's dishing it right back at the guy.  :o

I love it when Gregg alerts us to buffoonery over at the A board, and we all swing down on our vines... It's one of the things that makes the Railwire my special happy place... ;D

I've been watching that thread progress over on the Atlas Forum and it's all I can do to not add my $.02.  I resolved at some point a while back to not fan the flames or otherwise potentially make myself look like an a$$ . . . it's tough though.  My personal goal is to keep my posts about trains or at least positive.  But, boy I'd like to . . .

Does anyone remember the old Tru-scale ads in MR (mid 50's) showing a dapper engineer controlling his "train" by rotating young ladies labeled "forward", "high speed" and "reverse" in front of a guy on a treadmill?  Talk about something that would incite a flame war today!!!!!  The few old MR's I have around don't have that cartoon for the Tru-scale ad or I'd scan and post it.  For historical benchmarking only of course.   ;)  Does anyone out there have access to those old mags and could do so?

Alcohol?? One's drinking apple juice, the second cranberry juice, and the third lemonade! That they're drinking them out of a pilsner glass, a wine glass and a martini glass is only incidental.  ;D ;D ;D

Padlock time at Atlas.

I just got some cut levers and wind deflectors, no ladies or beverages included.

I hope you don't show midgets (er little people) in your Z scale ads  :P

It's basic debate 101 .. when called out on your assertion, result to deflection .. The "Dude" obviously got blindsided by the direct response and is now trying to move the debate into a direction more favorable.
