If you ever hear of him planning to shut the site down, I would be interested in taking over the hosting of it, if a new webmaster(s) would come forward.

I think things will be ok, no matter what. Bob is a busy guy, and his life seems to take turns where he can't focus his energies on maintaining a train-geek website. But if the existence of the CRCYC is ever in jeopardy, I'm sure I could get my cohorts at the CRHS to do something to preserve it, as keeping a resource like that available to the public is analogous to preserving that railroad's memory.
