I had a unpleasant suprise on my only diesel. I did some weathering that i wasnt happy with and said to myself " I've heard of people puting
alcohol on bad weathering to wash it off ". So I did. To my happyness the weathering came right off. :D To my complete unsatisfation all my
paint came off to. :o >:( :'( 74 bucks down the drain, thats a lot for a 14 year old like me. Crap. Chuck...expect an order.

Caleb: Give me a call. I will take care of you.

Chuck

After further inspection I found that the paint did not come off but is coated with some white residue
that has completely adhered to the paint.

Did you seal your weathering with Dullcote.  Alcohol applied after Dullcote will turn your model white.  Ask me how I know......................
Best regards,

Roger

Did you by chance coat the chalk with dullcote, because it turns white when you hit it with alcohol ..if thats the case, try a little pine sol and a soft tooth brush .. you will have a dull loco, but the white coating should be gone ..

Go to Walmart and have someone 18 years old buy you a can of black spray paint.

Get a set of Penn Central decals.

The more it looks like crap, the more prototypical it is!  Just make sure you spray of coat of primer on it first.

I'm a big picture guy.  Those of you with time on your hands can nitpick grill covers and the size of the armrests.
I'll be content with the correct number of fans and an appropriate road number.  I run my trains, I don't stare at them.

Got a chance to start painting my AN roster. First to the paint shops were Atlas MP15's with Sound.

Here is the first unit out #1234 (1200 Series) in its base weathering, still needing to have its paint faded, handrails installed, and details such as snowplow, antenna, mirrors, shades, horns, train lines, and MU cables installed.

The paint is all beat to hell from working the paper mills all day.

Looks nice. Any plans for "home-road" freight cars or other equipment? What reporting marks are you planning to use for that rr? (Considering that AN, ANR are already taken...)
