I had a unpleasant suprise on my only diesel. I did some weathering that i wasnt happy with and said to myself " I've heard of people putingalcohol on bad weathering to wash it off ". So I did. To my happyness the weathering came right off. To my complete unsatisfation all mypaint came off to. > :'( 74 bucks down the drain, thats a lot for a 14 year old like me. Crap. Chuck...expect an order.
After further inspection I found that the paint did not come off but is coated with some white residuethat has completely adhered to the paint.
Go to Walmart and have someone 18 years old buy you a can of black spray paint.Get a set of Penn Central decals. The more it looks like crap, the more prototypical it is! Just make sure you spray of coat of primer on it first.Lee
I can't believe you passed the chance to convince him to Wild Mary the loco ...
Got a chance to start painting my AN roster. First to the paint shops were Atlas MP15's with Sound. Here is the first unit out #1234 (1200 Series) in its base weathering, still needing to have its paint faded, handrails installed, and details such as snowplow, antenna, mirrors, shades, horns, train lines, and MU cables installed. The paint is all beat to hell from working the paper mills all day.
