I've actually been thinking about the "up and up" structure. I was in AC Moore the other day looking for options. I didn't find anything, but I did get some paint.

I really like the look of that when it's bare.

I agree.  It looks better bare than with leaves.  You don't need to go to the store though.  I found all that stuff in my yard.  :)  It's what I do when doing yard work becomes absolutely necessary (and it's me that has to do it).

One of these days I need to get myself a yard then!

(The property management company keeps the place around here pretty clean)

I've made some progress too, I'll be posting them elsewhere though...

Don't rush into the yard thing.  They're over rated.  It's the basement you're after.   ;D

And don't over look supply raids on managed property either.  Often they plant ornamental shrubbery that has good branch structure potential.  I lived in a place that prided itself on the landscaping.  Lots of possibilities but I didn't have a layout at the time.  Would have been very easy to take some "sample" cuts.   ;)

I found the prototype for the super tree structure.  I think it's a hemlock.  Even has the bend in the trunk so many of the super trees do.

That's awesome, you found the supertree prototype!!! Dead on!

I wonder if they went and measured that thing, then bred a plant to mimick it...  ;D

A bare hedge.  I think this would make a good mid winter forest floor Ed.  Dried Hydrangia flower heads.  Lay them in thick enough and you'd have a good thicket.  Not real difficult either.

I like it!

I'll need to go find me some of that.
