2007 Goals?

What do you have planned for 2007?

-I'm going to lay off the freight car weathering for a short while and work on a series of photo dioramas with more scenery type things than what I normally do.  Jürg's module and Bob Knight's bridges have inspired me.  I already bought rock molds and different kinds of gloss medium.

-I will detail and weather one freight car for each module to maintain skills and to have something cool to photograph.

-I will try to document photography ideas and share with the forums and try to author another article based on said modules.

-I will finish my z scale decals and make them available for sale.

-I will finish my article for Ztrack.

I will try not to write "06" when spelling out the date.

Lessee,

Finish painting bay, build swing bridge and trestle, lay yard tracks so passing sidings aren't clogged with trains. Then build industrial buildings to see what will fit where before sidings are laid.

Finish D16 4-4-0, finish L1s 2-8-2, convert Bachmann 2-8-0 to H10s or RDG I10sa, rebuild MiniTrix 2-10-0 into PRR I1s.

Build X23's from Mark4 Designs. Decide which cars to keep and which to sell - 300 won't fit on the layout.

Go to WGH show in Atlanta on Feb. 3-4, go to PRRT&HS convention in Greensburg, PA, in May, visit Cumbres & Toltec in May or June, swinging by Dallas, Texas State RR, and New Orleans.

Look for more consulting "gigs".  8)

Get my large Nscale  home layout fully functional and get the small one repaired.

Rework my TTRAK module set and maybe build more modules.

Get some serious scenery weork done ion the 2TRAK and get some feeder wires made up and installed.

Keep fussin' with my HO and 0n30 stuff to keep from getting bored with all the N scale stuff.

Any time (and/or money) left over, get into Z scale.

Finish up some industrial track work on upper level so we can run some trains and do some switching.
Work on structures for upper level.
Start the trackwork on the lower level.
Help Central Vermont with his layout, lets go!!!

I have nothing planned.  Well, maybe sell off some more freight cars, get out and take more pictures, read more, write more, lose some weight, win the lottery and officially retire, blah blah blah...

The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.

Chulvis, we are going to Disney World for Thanksgiving week.  Maybe you should fly east and meet up with us.  Together we could polish off the entire luau feast at the Polynesian.   ;D

Do engineer by the hour at the Naugy with Pompy, hit the N convention in Hartford without getting mugged, get a motorcar ride on the Valley, and visit the Mystic Seaport and family.

My goal is to have operating sessions using switchlists and radios in March.  Beyond that, to have the rest of the layout benchwork, track and wiring built by year end.  Scenery to 90% on the first three peninsulas including buildings.  Modeling wise, get some B&M chip cars built for the layout and Modelers Notes (B&MRRHS), along with some other projects I really want to get into like flexi-flo's painted in new Dragon paint, and of course, build as many Dragon cars as Tom Mann did.

Does Dragon have a new scheme?

Stay cool and build dragon cars, all the time... 8) 8)

Nope, new scheme is on flexi-flo cars.  http://www.envprojects.com/toxie/images/modeling/DPCX%20330DJ%204-29-05.JPG  Not really a scheme, more of a dip. But they are cool cars and I want a few in cement service to go with the dragons.
