Some shots from around Altoona on 24th.

Shot at the Cresson railfan platform .. the proto uses switchers as road power on occasion. A good use for the MP15

Err, John, that's not an MP15, it's an SW1500.  :-[ Look at the trucks.

Yea .. I know .. but I was trying to convey that the NScale MP15 can also be used for road power

Oh, and to be jerk, I'm guessing it wasn't "in use", it was probably just being ferried somewhere.

And now for something completely different ... :D

Some British preservation scenes taken on trips back home in June 2004 (Bluebell Railway) and January 2006 (Severn Valley Railway)...

Enjoy. Wes

Thanks Wes, I did! I used to volunteer from time to time at the Bluebell - those photos sure take me back :)

Maybe thats why it was being ferried , it was broken in a way that it couldn't be shut off , and they were sending it back to the shops so they could have that fixed  [:)] . All kidding aside , the LIRR uses them (AC's though) for anything and everything .

I'm really gonna miss those. Though the Amtrak ones give me little fixes each week.

So it wasn't DIT, but was it working or merely idling?

Thanks Wes, I did! I used to volunteer from time to time at the Bluebell - those photos sure take me back :)

Never volunteered, but I own £100 worth of shares in the Bluebell and probably a few bricks in Kingscote station. I always try and get back there when I am visiting the familiy in the UK.

That GM catalogue paint scheme looks really good on the F-units. :)

How about a shot from 1994 (that's right, no typo!) with a set of 3 high-nose GP7s hauling a mainline train of steel loads:
