Interesting ... but an eye-popping price.

Not trying to derail the topic, but I finally purchased my first track-cleaning car a month or two ago. Went with the Bachmann model, and have been pleasantly surprised by the results. Cost was around $35 at modeltrainstuff.com. Like it so much I recently bought another for about half that price on feebay.

(Robert3985 did a nice writeup on rolling your own masonite pad car https://www.therailwire.net/forum/index.php?topic=58263.msg802661#msg802661
but at the moment I'm better off spending the money than the time.)

I remain on the lookout for cost-effective cleaners ... so will be very interested in any reviews of this new entry.

Interesting ... but an eye-popping price.

Considerably less expensive than the CMX car: https://tonystrains.com/product/cmx-clean-machinetm-n-scale  Machined metal cars like these are going to reflect the manufacturing cost.

I will say that I can't recommend this motorized German solution - Lux-Modellbau. Also expensive. I have two, and have spent an awful lot of time modifying and trying various tricks to keep them operable. They have some unique features like changeable cleaning wheels and auto-start/stop, but require too much tinkering to be reliable.

It doesn’t look a whole lot different than the centerline brass cleaning cars at a significant price increase.
