Modeling an extended height 40' single-sheathed wood boxcar

I was looking through old MRs, from the years when they were packed with articles, and came across a mention of prewar wooden boxcars that were needed for war traffic. they had their roofs raised and sides added to so as to get a 10'6" interior height. There was also a small picture of a model of one, but hard to see details. The article said some of these lasted through the '40s.
As an interesting model I'd like to modify some MTL 40' single sheaths into these conversions. Any place where I can get some helpful pictures of either the prototypes or models, hopefully large enough for me to see the detail of the extensions? The extension also made it possible to replace the original wood doors with taller steel ones, like steel boxcars had.

I know SP had a height extension program and SP Boxcar book by Tony Thompson has some information.  I'll see what I have.

I can't think of any usra boxcars that had their height extended in that way. (Except for the steel rebuilds but obviously those don't count)

The article was "Unifrom of the day: Railroad Drab" by Mont Switzer in April '06 MR. The picture was of an ATSF woodside, possibly stock model. I think one of these would look neat on my early '50s layout, esp with a minor railroad name.

ATSF raised the height of many of their BX-11, 12 and 13 classes.  These, however, were all ARA era single sheathed cars- with 4 rather than 6 diagonals, and dreadnought ends.  If you search for photos, you should find some. Westerfield made HO kits for these cars- there may be photos of those as well.

Many of the ATSF cars were rebuilt (and given new classes) one more time with steel sides in the l50s- early 60s.  Very long lived cars. A brief history of the cars is here:
