All this means is instead of buying them for $29 at Trainworld you will get to pay $200 for them.

I had to go look.  Nope No Bachmann N-Scale 44-tonners.  Rapido, yes, HO.  Pretty sure the $29 N-scale have been gone for a while.

How about a different phase of the 44 tonner as well...you know, where the radiator shutters are on the side of the hood and not the front (aka phase 1)? Wait, if they did that, then they should just fix the cab as well...

Two words: tiger stripes.

Bachmann wouldn't know the phase of a locomotive if it slapped them in the face. Their business is just not set up to run that way...

I looked in their catalog and on the Ask the Bach Man forum under N scale but haven't seen or heard of a proposed release date on the 19th century 4-6-0.  I assume this is at least a year or two out?  If anything was mentioned in the recent convention or trainshow posts I must've missed it.  Anyone have info?  Thanks.

One disappointing thing with Bachmann has been the lack of new steam tooling and locomotives over the past 6-8 years.  I feel like circa 2008-2016 they were releasing a lot of new steam tooling and locos.  Now it seems like they are releasing new runs of the same locos.
