I’ve been mainly using 3.75 reading glasses.
I have an authentic Optivisor and used it for a long time, but felt myself trying different things to make that work better.
Clip on LED lights, extra magnification and so on.
What I discovered for myself, anyway, was the Visor restricted room light and/or outside light and actually made the experience kind of claustrophobic.

My Optivisor experience  is just the opposite.  Yes, the visor shields the eyes from the ambient light, but to me that is is desirable as it cuts down on the glare from my workbench lighting.  When I try on my friends headband magnifiers (which have no hood), I find them awkward to use.

First iteration of T-scale track (3mm gauge) using .999 semi-hard silver strip bezel wire (0.050" X .004").  I have a new iteration on the printer with a slightly wider gauge and thicker ties for a lower rail profile.  And better supports on the print.



The print was good proof of concept though.  Here's a comparison of T-gauge stock track (L to R) with the "T Proto Track".  Note the thickness of the rail that was bugging me.

It definitely looks better, much more accurate;  As for operation, the rails conduct electricity (silver) but I'd have to solder joints.  And they aren't magnetic (at least not much).  I wonder if I can find steel bezel metal?

Version 2.  Both with taller ties, and I added texture to the ballast for the one with painted ties/rail.   
I'm thinking ballast texture is actually unnecessary, because the speckled paint (the one with primer only) actually looks more like ballast.  Simpler is better, too.
