I know this is generic for Crew Lounge, but hoping moderators will leave this here for a while.
I need an N scaler or someone who hangs out on this board and knows me and my work who can help.
I need help with a Japanese auction site.

Private Message me if you can help.

What if you run the site through google translate?

Yes, Thanks.
I have done that last night and learned a little.   The auction was not still going and was over in 2022, but I'd still like to ask the seller some questions.

Google Translate is helpful, but not perfect.   I knew a Russian lady in my church and needed to correspond with her daughter in Russia.   I wrote in simple English and used Goggle to translate into Russian.   When the lady in my church read what I wrote she busted out laughing because something was lost.

That's what I hope to avoid.

So if anyone can read Japanese, that person might be able to help me avoid that kind of awkwardness.

Going by his posts we can assume that 0303fxm is in Japan. Maybe ask him for assistance.

Yes, Pete.  I know him.  I just did not know his name here on Railwire.

He is:  Ryoichi Fukushima  @0303fxm
We have helped each other in the past.

He was instrumental in providing me with photos of the EP-2 Milwaukee Bipolars that KMT painted and sold in Japan.  He was at a train show in Tokyo and saw some and took some photos.   I had not seen any photos until he provided them.

I've already contacted him.
Thanks everybody.
He should be able to help.

And I know this is all a mystery.   :-X
I'm keeping my cards close right now until I know more.
When I know more definitively, I'll post what's going on.

I tried to buy a locomotive from that Japan Yahoo auction site. There are places that will bid for you if you're not from Japan. But the loco I was interested in at $700 soon went up to $2800. So I'll just live with the one I have after that.

Yes, Chris
That's the website I'm dealing with.
When I input the address into Google Translate as a whole page, It says- Sorry, can't do it.

What I learned was by cut and pasting one sentence or paragraph at a time.

Hopefully, Mr Ryoichi can help me.

Occasionally you can find some interesting stuff on this site.

To reward everyone who read this to help me....  enjoy.

This is HO scale, but look at what appears to be a brass kitbash.

I see no motor nor gears, so it appears to be a dummy.

Using Chrome browser it auto translates for me. I can read it, but not bid.

For translation, try using Buyee:
https://buyee.jp/item/search/category/2084259579

In the box at the top right, choose "English" (unless you prefer Estonian or something else...)

If you are doing searches, you are best off using Japanese characters. I built up a text file cheat sheet of them for searches that I do.

I will say a lot of times what it translates into is a little bit odd.

I dont think there is a way to contact the seller though. There are asterisks in the seller name, clicking only goes to a search.

It's morning in Japan.  I just emailed Ryoichi.

Also, I tried to sign up with an account to Yahoo Japan, but you must have a Japanese phone number to do so.

And thank you.  I use Linux operating system.   Firefox and Google did not translate the page.
But the Chromium app did.  It worked.  Thanks.
